USED Gibson 1997 '61 SG Heavily Modded w/OHSC
6 String Solid Body Electric guitar featuring custom pickup arrangement, Jazzmaster Tremolo Bridge, Mahogany neck and body with Original Case in Very Good Condition.
Straight from "The Island of Misfit Toys"... this wonderful, cheerful, unique Gibson SG is kind of cool...
It was born in 1997 and then went through a wee bit of a change.
As seen in the pictures, the original bridge has been change, and the original tail piece has been replaced by a Fender Jazzmaster Tremolo (!)
The original bridge pickup has been replaced by a Fender Telecaster pickup and partial assembly.
Original tuners have been replaced by old (late 60's) Gibson Deluxe double ring Kluson tuners.
How is it? It's actually pretty cool! The blend of sounds are very cool and the Jazzmaster trem feels great on the SG Body Style.
We can see the current trend to install Jazzmaster Trem's in other body styles!
Certainly unique and one of a kind, and has a vibe to it.
This Consignment guitar is in Very Good condition with some average play wear. The most notable thing, other than the mods, would be a small ding in the top of the headstock - seen in the pictures.
