A Gibson designed to have a more Fender feel with a longer scale length and string thru body bridge, Quothe the Nighthawk.
The Nighthawk was a radical change from the Gibson Design, with a much smaller Fender (ish) body to the Fender Scale Length, angled Bridge pickup and blade switch for pickup selection.
The neck is also a bit more of a Fender feel, along with the "hardtail" string through body bridge.
Other than some special editions, they made three 'models' Special, Standard and Custom with the Custom being the top of the line model.
An optional middle single coil pickup was also available, as was a Floyd Rose Model(!)
The pickup selection isseen in the last photo - as you can see, a wide variety of sounds are available inluding position 1 being a real Fender single coil bridge pickup setting.
This Used 1993 Nighthawk Custom CS-2 is in excellent condition and comes with the Original Hard Shell Case.
Featuring a wondeful "Fireburst" finish on a nicely flamed maple top (mahogany body with set mahogany neck)
These little beasts are awesome! The humbucker is a bit lower output which helps get some real Fender type tones when split and added with the neck position Mini Humbucker pickup.
The gold hardware is starting to get a bit tarnished and worn, as Gold Hardware Does.
Sounds fantastic and plays great!
It's a fun guitar to play and a bit of a unique Gibson from the past.
