Product Description

Vintage solidbody electric guitar with Ash body, maple neck, 3 single coil pickups and non-original hard shell case.

Yee haw! This beauty is almost 50 years old!! I think that easily makes it a Vintaahdge  guitar. Heck, Strats from the 80's are technically vintage... and early 1990's.... Still trying to get our heads around the fact that guitar made in the Late 1900's are now vintage instruments.

But this IS a vintage instrument.
This truly defines the 70's Strat asthetics - large headstock with bullet truss rod, natural ash body and "Tuxedo" style pickguard/pickup configuration - black 3 ply guard with white covers/knobs.

These all define certain guitar "Gods" - Richie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Mick Mars, etc that are known for playing 70's Strats.
Generally, the earlier 70's Strats are a little more sought after compared to late 70's.  Other than playability, and craftmanship, the general weight of the late 70's Strats is a big factor - with the late 70's, generally, being heavy.

The neck heel has the wacky serial/dating scheme Fender had, up until early 1976, and places the neck being completed just before the Christmas Holidays, 1975.
Monday, Dec 22nd to be more precise.
So, as with many guitars, the neck being completed just before the Holidays would then be hanging around the factory waiting to be matched up to a body in early 1976.
Pots/electronics and grey bottom pickups are all dated 1976.
So... it's an early 1976 Natural Strat, with maple neck.

As you can see, the back plate has been replaced with an aftermarket tortoise trem plate.

Overall this used Stratocaster is in excellent condition.
There is play wear - it is almost 50 years old, but for it's age and comparable 1975/76 Strats, it's in Excellent condition.

Comes with a non original hardshell case.
