Nothing sounds like a Martin and Nothing Sounds like a D-28... powerful, balanced and rich in tone. The wonderful pairing of Spruce and Rosewood with forward shifted X Bracing and you have the most wonderful delicate cannon you could want.
This HD-28 features a solid Spruce top paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. Fitted, with a dovetail joint, mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard and 14th fret neck joint.
The neck features a glorious feeling "Low Oval" neck shape with a satin finish, abalone inlays, 25.4" scale length.
The body features a wonderful gloss finish with multi-strip back inlay and "zig zag" purfling, an ebony bridge and tortoise guard. Top aging toner and Bold Herringbon Top inlay pattern.
While the D-18 is wonderful in its simplicity, nothing sounds like the D-28 and this is no exception.
This Consingment guitar is in excellent condition (still has the protective plastic on the "scratch plate") with very little play wear and comes with original hard shell case.
