Product Description

The Classic All American Jazzmaster guitar isn't just for Jazz as it's found it's place in everything from Surf to Shoegaze to Country to Rock.

But wait... the Jazzmaster wasn't debuted until 1958?!?
True, the original Jazzmaster was first publicly displayed at the 1958 NAMM show for production/release in 1959. By that time, most Fender Electric guitars has moved to rosewood fret boards... an all maple neck is rarely seen on a Jazzmaster.
Early protoypes for the Jazzmaster did feature a Maple Fretted Neck and Gold Anodized Guard.

So what do we have hear from the fantastic Fender Custom Shop?

The Custom Shop '55 Desert Sand Jazzmaster is a unique, smurftastic guitar!
Featuring an amazing '57 Style "V" Maple Neck with a compound 7.25" to 9.5" radius.
The '55 Refers to the Desert Sand Finish.
This colour has two versions. The first one appeared early for Fender and was Originally a Chrysler colour called "Desert Sand" that Duco Made. First used in 1955 by Fender on Musicmasters and the Duo Sonic. They used it from 55 to 58 where it changed to a brownish colour also referred to as Desert Tan.

This custom shop relic also features a worn gold anodized pick guard, as per the original Jazzmasters and custom shop hand wound Jazzmaster Pickups.

Other premium features include a Fender “floating vibrato” tailpiece with a modern Custom Shop RSD (Research Special Design) bridge for greater sustain and tuning stability.

The finish and wearing on this guitar is fantastic! It has such a vibe to it! Oh yeah, it plays and sounds great!
This is a real eye-catcher and something you won't see again!
