Product Description

Solid State, 25 Watt 1x12 Combo Amplifier for Electric Guitar featuring High and Low inputs, Master Volume, 3 band EQ, reverb and Traynor's Tri Comp Network circuit, in very Good Condition.

By the late 70's, many Tube amplifier companies were having another shot at the Solid State Designs and vast improvements were made from the yesterdays...

The Traynor TS series hit the shops and they produced everything from a small 15 watt practice amp to a full blown 200 Watt Stack with 9x8" Speaker Cabinets (!). The definition of Spinal Tap and Monolith.

The TS-25 is one of the more popular amps in this range - small, portable (although a little heavier than todays Solid State Amps) loud, and they sound great!

Part of the Solid State "revolution" was the Traynor Tri Comp Design. Basically, to help the Solid State sound more like a tube, they designed a circuit that would divide the signal, post pre-amp, into 3 bands (High, Mid and Low) and compress those frequencies seperately, rounding out the overall Gain sound of the amp - make it sound more Even harmonics rather than odd harmonics of a regular Solid State amp.
It allowed for the natural harmonics of the instrument to be properly reproduced.

This TS-25 features 2 inputs - High and Low Gain, pre amp Gain, 3 band EQ section (High, Mid, Low), master volume and a Darlington output stage with over "20,000Hz Bandwidth response". And, Reverb!

The 12" Speaker is a Select Speaker Series" design, in which Traynor spent 3 years in it's design for the TS series of amplifiers.
In the original brochure, Traynor stated that these amps "Deliver performance superior to many amps rated at double it's power.

This Used amp, as the TS-25's do, sounds great!
Overall, it's in Very Good condition with cosmetic wear - as seen in the pictures.
