Top of the line model Japanese Classical Guitar from 1976
Takeharu guitars were made by Kiso Suzuki during the 70's, we believe from 1970-1979, and featured a variety of different steel string and classical build.
This GT500 was considered a top of the line Classical from Takeharu.
Features a colid cedar top and 'high grade laminate' rosewood back and sides.
High Grade laminate was something the Japanese builders did then, all by hand, making use of the same piece of rosewood for series of a few laminates to tonally react like a solid piece of wood and have the strength of the laminate construction.
The figure in the Rosewood is fantastic!!
Overall this is in Very Good condition with a few marks/small dings and scratched you would expect from a 40+ year old guitar.
Only notable mark is a longer lacquer scratch on the back of the body - seen in the last picture.
Comes with Case.
