A complete vintage guitar synth package featuring the Roland GR-700 Synth module and Roland G-707 Guitar Synth controller featuring multi pin connector cable and power in Very Good Condition.
Somewhat the same architecture as the Roland JX3P Synth.
Is there ANYTHING more classic 80's than this Package?!?!? I mean, C'mon...
The futuristic designed guitar, with "Stabilizer" arm and the GR-700 Synth that looks right out of the Original Star Trek, especially if is was filmed in the mid 1980's.
Features...? Where to start.
You get the G-707 guitar, made in Japan for Roland, loaded with 2 humbucking pickups (yes, it does the regular guitar thing too) and the Roland MIDI pickup and electronics to marry up with the GR-700 Synth Unit, again similar it architecture to the Roland JX3P Synth.
The Guitar is sleek and classy (especially in the black finish) while the Synth unit is still Classy, it's not exactly Sleek - it's big and on the heavy side.
This package come with everything you need to get started/jump start yourself back to the future of the mid 1980's - comes with power and multi pin cable to connect the guitar to the unit.
The Guitar features an Ash "Futuristic" body, maple bolt on neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, 2 humbuckers, radical Stabilizer arm, tremolo bridge, MIDI pickup with controller electronics, regular 1/4" guitar output and the Roland 24 pin connection.
The GR707 synth features buttones for bank up and down of presets, preset buttons, Hold function button, 24 pin connection and a spot for optional sound cartridge.
And the million dollar question - can you use this with modern Roland GK gear. The Answer is YES, but you need to get a converter to go from the 24 pin cable to the modern 13 Pin GK setup.
It may look like it's from space, and certainly did back in the day, but as radical as it was/is a lot of big names adopted this system, for a while...
This Consignment package of Vintage Gold is overall in Very Good Condition - the guitar, we would say, is excellent, with some slight play wear, while the synth GR700 is in Very Good Cosmetic Condition with some more play wear and one of the button labels is slightly missing - button functions fine and you can still make out the labelling.
