This awsome snare has quite the kick and punch of a Maple Piccolo snare drum!! Pearl developed a "Free-Floating" drum line, where the shell sits between the top and bottom hoops. This drum has die cast hoops lending to it's volume and sound. The theory in a free floating snare is that you can buy other sizes, and woods that are also 14 inches and change up you snare with the same hoops and lugs. It has some ware on the hoops, but all in all this snare is a great shape, it has a tiny bit of scuffs on the shell and a a few marks on the hoops.
