6 String Solidbdy Electric Guitar featuring a basswood body, figured maple top, bolt on maple neck with Ebony fretboard and snowflake inlays, 2 humbucking pickups with coil splitting, master volume and tone controls, Ibanez Hard Rocker Pro Tremolo Bridge, in Very Good Condition.
Luke! The first of the first... this is the first Version of the very first official Steve Lukather Signature Electric Guitars. He later moved to Valley Arts guitar then to Ernie Ball Music Man which he still has a signature guitar to this day.
But this is the OG!
The Ibanez Roadstar RS1010SL Lukather Signature only lasted a couple of years... this is from January 1984 (essentially 1983) and the first version of this guitar.
Featuring a Roadstar Basswood Body with an arched Birds Eye figured Maple top, finished in Marine Burst, with ivory binding.
Firmly, but gently, bolted to the body is a 21 Fret Maple Neck with an Ebony fretboard. The 2nd version, circa mid 1984, had 22 frets and a colour matched headstock.
The neck profile is Ibanez "SL" Steve Lukather profile, which is a thinner contour.
The body is loaded with 2 Ibanez Humbucking pickups - SL Special in the Bridge and Super 58 in the neck.
Each pickup has their own split coil on separate Push Pull knobs.
Speaking of knobs, these are the original Rubber Sure Grip speed knobs.
Speaking of original, this also has the original, oversized Arrow shaped strap buttons. These old Ibanez Strap Buttons are awesome!!
Even if you're not a Lukather fan (how could you not be?!? he's only one of the most recorded guitar players in history) it's a great Roadstar!
All the old 80's Roadstars are great guitars for the money.
This Used guitar is in Very Good Condition with some play wear and a few small dings in the finish, as seen in the pictures.
There are 2 small inds on the back - one of which is mostly part of a sticker, and 2 small dings along the edge/cutaway - seen in pictures.
There's some light fret wear on the first few frets.
The individual lock blocks for the bridge are included but the bridge plate that holds them in place is cracked, so there's nothing to hold them in place. The bridge works and functions, you just can't "lock" the strings in place.
