They took the original Viking and stretched it to a longer 25.5” scale length (usually associated with the Fender brand).
Featuring an all maple laminate construction with set maple neck fitted with Hagstroms “Resinator” fingerboard, which is a wood composite that is more uniformed and shares properties with Ebony fingerboards.
Speaking of the uniformed neck, another big part of Hagstrom design and construction is their “H-Expander” patented truss rod system.
Thanks to that truss rod, the neck is a lovely slim taper with plenty of strength and resonance and a flat 15" radius.
Pickups are a pair of Hagstrom HJ-50’C, complete with their own Volume and Tone controls.
