USED Guild 1978 Starfire IV Natural w/OHSC - CONSIGNMENT

Vintage 6 String Semi Hollowbody Electric Guitar Featuring maple tope, back and sides with Center Block, 3 Piece Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard with Original Case in Excellent condition.

Made in Westerly Rhode Island, circa 1978, these Guild Starfires are Fantastic guitars, especially if you're looking for a 335 style guitar.

Guild have always been the "underdog" or "secert weapon" flying under the radar compared to the other, slightly bigger, names in the guitar world.
Hence, these American made guitars are fantastic value for the sound, playability and craftmanship.

The Starfire IV is a favorite. Featuring a laminate maple top, back and sides (body) and 3 piece maple neck with an 18th fret neck joint.
Similar to the "ES335", there's a center block within the body.
The neck has a very comfortable "C" shape to it with a Rosewood fingerboard.

2 Guild Humbucking pickups along with a standard 3 way toggle switch, and unlike a 335, it features a master volume control (like Gretsch) along with individual volume and tone controls.
Speaking of tone... this is a monster. Not for yer Heavy Metal but a wonderful, versatile tone.
The pickup mounts features a 3 way tilt adjustment for accurate, firm, pickup placement.

This Consignment guitar is in Excellent condition with some glorious lacquer checking  - most notable on the back of the headstock, and a little wear, here and there.
Everything functions as it should and it plays great!
Comes with the Original Hard Shell case.
