Gibson Humbucking Bridge Pickup from a late 70's Les Paul Custom.
Original Gibson humbucker that came from the bridge of a Late 70's (probably 1978) Les Paul Custom.
Lots of oxidation on the gold cover - usual for gold plated covers, especially 40+ years old.
Someone, at some point, did their version of potting the pickup - as seen by all the wax on the base.
You can still make out the date code on the base plate - Mar 16 197?
The issue is that if you try to remove the wax, it's taking the ink date off the bottom of the pickup.
Before some of the wax was removed (to try to see the date better) it looked like 1978.
Overall, this used pickup is in good cosmetic condition and excellent working condition.
