4 String Electric Solidbody Bass Guitar featuring an Alder Body, maple neck, single split coil pickup, passive electronics in excellent condition.
Dare to be different. One thing Leo Fender did, until he died, was to try to improve and innovate the instruments he originally designed back in the 1950’s.
The G&L SB-1 is a great example of this design work.
Featuring an Alder Body, in a 3 tone sunburst gloss finish, fitted with a Hard Rock Maple neck with a 9.5 radius and very comfortable “C” shape.
The neck is bolted to the body with the 3 bolt system and tilt mechanism.
The body is a sleeker “Improved” design based on the Original P Bass and features G&L’s Split Coil pickup that’s punchier and higher output than its (Fender) counterpart.
“The heavy-duty bridge utilizes a small set screw on the side to lock all four brass saddles together into a single solid unit. It embeds deep into the body end-grain to maximize resonance, sustain, and vibration transfer.”
