USED Fender Custom Shop Kingman Pro Acoustic w/OHSC - CONSIGNMENT
6 String Acoustic Electric Guitar featuring Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid Mahogany back and sides, maple neck with 6 in line Stratocaster Style headstock, Fishman pickup, sunburst nitro finish in Excellent condition with Original Hard Shell Case.
Made in the Hartford Connecticut USA “state of the art factory”, this is a beautiful acoustic guitar. Part of Fender’s Custom Shop line, inspired by the 1960’s Fender Kingman Acoustic… but built much better.
Featuring a Solid Sitka Spruce top with Solid Mahogany back and sides. Bracing is forward shifted Red Spruce Scalloped X Bracing.
The Maple neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard and late 60’s style Strat neck, with 6 in-line tuners and block inlays. The neck is bolted to the body without a heel.
“One of the biggest departures from the vintage design is the Kingman Pro’s neck attachment. Vintage examples used long mounting screws and a “tone bar” running the length of the body. The new Kingman Pro uses a pair of Allen-head screws to secure the neck from underneath the fingerboard extension and inside the body. This eliminates the need for the enormous neck-blocks of vintage Fender acoustics, saving weight and allowing the body to resonate more freely. (The guitar has a shield-shaped chrome neck plate, but it’s strictly decorative).”
The body features a wonderful nitro sunburst finish with herringbone binding, gold glitter pick guard and a viking style rosewood bridge.
Scale length is a slight bit longer, at 25.625”, then other dreadnought acoustic and the neck is very comfortable with a “C” type profile.
Acoustically, it has a nice rich and balanced sound.
Internally, there’s a Fishman Matrix pickup system with small thumbwheel controls under the sound hole.
This Consignment guitar is an Excellent higher end flat top acoustic electric.
In excellent condition with some lacquer cracks - No body or top cracks.
There are a couple of lacquer cracks on the face and one on the back of the body. There’s one very small one near the “Custom Shop” decal, on the back of the headstock. Comes with Original Hardshell case.
