USED Fender 2016 Stratocaster Standard USA w/Filtertron Pickups - CONSIGNMENT
6 String Solidbody electric guitar featuring an Alder Body, Maple Neck with 22 Fret Rosewood Neck, 2 TV Jones humbucking pickups, master volume, master tone, in Very Good condition.
2016 was the last year of the “American Standard” series before it became the “Professional” line in 2017.
This started its life as an American Standard HSS Stratocaster and features an Alder body, Maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fretboard with a “C” profile and 9.5” radius.
The frets are Medium Jumbo.
The back of the neck is a Satin finish for more comfortable playing and the tuners are Fender Deluxe Staggered.
The finish is a unique, eye-catching “Bordeaux Metallic” which is similar to the Oxblood Metallic that Fender has offered on other models.
Chrome hardware the original modern 2 point Fender tremolo bridge has been swapped out for a Vintage 6 point Tremolo Bridge (Fender)
Now, here’s where the fun begins…
At some point, the original HSS Fender pickups (and pickguard) were removed and 2 TV Jones Humbuckers were installed - Magna-tron in the Bridge and Filtertron “Ray Butts” hi-Fidelity pickup in the neck.
As seen in the picture, the body was routed HSH, from the factory.
2 Very spectacular Gretsch/TV Jones Filtertron pickups!!
A custom 3 ply parchment guard was made to house the 2 TV Jones pickups.
Unlike a standard humbucker mount to the pickguard, the pickups are mounted directly to the body... the Gretsch surrounds are attached to the pickguard only - we think it looks pretty cool like this!
Finally, the Master Volume and Tone controls feature G Brand Gretsch knobs.
This is a very cool modded strat! It’s more often that you see Filtertons added to Telecasters, but this works!
This Consignment guitar is in Very Good ++ condition with some minor wear/play wear around the body... it’s a very cool finish! Bordeaux Metallic! Tasty!
