This can be described as "The Missing Link" in the Fender Series of "Acoustasonic" guitars.
When Godin introduced the thinlin Acoustic/Electric guitar, they caused a stir.
Fender came out with the "Telecoustic" and "Stratacoustic" models.
Now, they have the Acoustasonics (Mexican and American made) that we're all familiar with but there's this little gem from a decade, or so, ago.
This is the missing link between the Telecoustic and the Current Acoustasonics.
It's not seen too often and, granted, it's a bit whacky but it's cool and very functional. It's versatile and sounds great. They did a good job with this model!
This features an Ash body, with a Spruce "Wedge" insert, finished in Classic 3 tone sunburst.
The body has been routed out/chambered for a Spruce insert/center block of sorts.
The Rosewood bridge is in the style of an original Telecaster bridge.
For improved sustain, Fender designed the bridge with a string thru body construction.
The neck pickup is a Fender Twisted Tele pickup.
The acoustic preamp/pickup is a Fishman Aura system with 4 different digital emulations of popular acoustics: dark folk, bright folk, dreadnought, and jumbo.
The 3 way blade switch controls either Neck pickup, both, or just the piezo pickup.
There's a volume for neck pickup and a concentric knob that controls the volume and tone of the Fishman Aura piezo pickup.
Fair to say, this is a very versatile guitar. When it was current, quite a few pro players were using these guitars.
This Consignment guitar is in Excellent condition with a few minor nick/play wear marks.
Comes with the Fender Stereo Cable - enables you to split the piezo pickup and Tele Neck Magnetic pickup to 2 seperate amplifiers/sources.
