Product Description

Analog Flanger pedal, circa 1979/80, featuring controls for Rate, Range and Color with the Filter Matric Switch in Very Good Condition.

The Original Electric Mistress came out in the late 70's, when the Flanger, in pedal form was just getting started and along with sounding fantastic, it had the unique "Filter Matrix" feature that would "freeze" the flange sweep setting to give a depthy metallic sound.

Players such as David Gilmour and Andy Summer are known for using this pedal...
This is the Original "Walking on the Moon" effect.

A nice Warm pedal - "bucket brigade" chips, with a lush swirling flange sound.
Mono in and out, can be powered by two 9 volt batteries or optional power supply (not included). That's correct, 18 volts baby, For that Sound!

  • Circuit: All-analog BBD (Bucket Brigade Device).
  • Controls: Rate, Range, Color (Depth/Intensity), Filter Matrix switch.
  • Filter Matrix Mode: Disconnects sweep, letting Range/Color knobs set fixed filter points (chimes, metallic tones).
  • I/O: Mono In, Mono Out (Deluxe had Dry Out too).
  • Power: Typically 9V battery or 18V (two 9V batteries).
  • Sound: Famous for warm, lush flanging, chorus-like textures (when Range is high), and static filter effects (Filter Matrix).
  • Era: Late 1970s to mid-1980s.

This "Vintage" pedal is in Very Good condition with some wear on the box. Missing one screw - you need to unscrew it to replace the battery.

This sounds soooo wonderful and lush. A very Versatile Flanger pedal, you can get the Flange, the Chorus/Vibe type sounds and the Filter Matrix is very cool.
