6 String Solid Body Electric Guitar, Made in the USA, featuring an Alder Body, Maple Neck, 2 Single Coil Pickups, 1 Humbucking Pickup, Locking Tremolo Bridge in Excellent condition with Case.
Circa The 80's!!
These American Made BC Rich Super Strats are hard to date just from the Serial Numbers, but from certain appointments - like the recessed trem, we're saying it's "Circa late 1980's"
And the date codes on the pots are covered in Solder.
Most of these from '86/87 ish featured a top mount Floyd Rose Licensed Locking Trem.
The Serial Number does put the guitar in the "Bernie Rico SR" era, so pre 1989.
Let's say it's a 1988.
Either way it Screams the 1980's!! And rightly So!!
Don't be confused with other Japanese or Korean BC Rich super strats, this puppy is all American.
Featuring an Alder body finished in A midnight purple metallic with back routed controls, recessed trem, 2 single coil pickups and 1 humbucking pickup.
3 Mini toggle switches for pickup on/off selection.
The Licensed Floyd Rose trem is a BC Rich branded Gotoh Locking Tremolo Bridge. Some prefer the Gotoh floyds to the, then, Production floyds. Hey, Music Man went with Gotoh Floyds.
The neck is a bolt on Maple neck featuring a Rosewood fretboard with 22 Jumbo Frets, lock nut and black hardware and an angled headstock, Black with White BC Rich Logo.
The ST-III is a Strat Style 25.5" scale length.
This Consignment guitar is in Very Good+ condition with some play wear/small scratches here and there and some small dings in the finish, mostly along the bottom edge of the body - seen in picture.
Comes with this fantastic, fashionable Coffin Case (and trem arm)
