Danelectro Longhorn guitar
Re-issue, circa 2007, of one of the most unusual guitar designs… the Longhorn.
Originally seen as a short scale bass or guitar, this 2007 design brings the classic into a more modern world with 3 Hotter Lipstick pickups a 5 way blade switch and a hardtail bridge with 6 adjustable saddles.
Still this very cool retro looking guitar is constructed in much the same way as the original - hardwood laminate frame with Masonite top and back. Unique ‘Blackburst’ finish us very reminiscent of Gibsons famed ‘Silverburst’. Although the large ‘horns’ make the guitar look more like a shorter scale (ala Fender Mustang) this is actually a Gibson Les Paul scale length but with 21 frets (instead of 22). A very cool electric guitar rarely seen - this ‘re-issue’ was only made for approx 1 year in 2007.
