This guitar expands on the already impressively broad sonic spectrum of the Johnny Marr Signature Jaguar by incorporating a third pickup, as well as an correspoding three-position off/on/only slider switch. Not only is there an additional pickup, but the pickups themselves are a different model - bright, chiming lipstick pickups by Kent Armstrong - which are a stunning and beautiful visual pairing with the gorgeous black nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Johnny Marr is best known as the strikingly dynamic guitarist-arranger-songwriter behind the Smiths, who redefined and ruled U.K. pop in the 1980s. This unique take on the classic Jaguar features a custom gloss nitrocellulose black lacquer finish. Under the hood, the Jaguar Special combines custom-wound Kent Armstrong lipstick pickups with Marr’s personal wiring scheme for an expansive range of tones ranging from bright, chimey rhythms to smooth, singing leads.
