1994 Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Double Neck Stratocaster - STW-230.
Rarely seen, limited run made in Japan from 1994-1996 (ish).
The first year - this one - are marked "Made in Japan" with a Custom logo on the back of the headstock. After 1994 they are marked "Crafted in Japan"
Research on the interwebs reveal that perhaps 60 were made or 200 were made.
We're pretty sure that the number made is closer to 200 in total, and the first year (1994) approx. 60 were made.
This is in mint/like new condition and comes with OHSC and "manual" (and whammy).
Features a Basswood body finished in an aged Olympic White - like his "Play Loud" strat.
Both necks (!) are maple with a 10" radius, scalloped and feature jumbo frets.
Walnut plugs and nut material is brass.
Small headstock / vintage 12 string headstock with vintage spaghetti decals.
Pickups are Dimarzio HS-3 Staggered poles in Bridge and Neck position.
Middle pickup position are Fender Japanese Vintage single coil, of which the Master doesn't use that position.
Hardware is nickel and chrome.
6 String bridge is a S8F Bridge with Stainless Steel Block and Vintage saddles.
12 String Bridge is Hard Tail GTC-12.
One large pickguard, 12 hole, white.
Both necks feature 4 bolt neck plates.
This is truly a collector piece for the Malmsteen fan, Collector of Fender Guitars or anyone that just loves it!
He should have had a triple neck made for the Trilogy Tour, to help him fight the 3 headed dragon!!
This is a pretty amazing guitar that you rarely see and probably won't see again.
